Easter Surprise Video

We got our WACAP package in the mail today with the CD of photos (which were already emailed), a video CD and the actual drawing that Ray made for us! I never thought we'd get the real thing and am SO excited. It's on our refrigerator already!!! PLUS...the video is wonderfully touching. On it, they show him opening our gift of Packer and Badger clothing...which he is not too thrilled about since he was probably looking for toys. Then, the SW pulls out our letter with the photos of us with his clothes and he instantly has a HUGE smile on his face and starts to put on the Packer jersey with excitement. I could (and probably will) watch this video over and over again. It made both Bryan and I cry to see the connection we already have with our little guy, even if we're worlds apart.

New Photos

We got new photos of Ray via email from WACAP today! He's looking so much older...makes us want to bring him home even more now. Best of all, WACAP took a photo of the picture he drew for us of him flying on a large bird towards Mommy and Daddy. It brought tears of joy to our eyes!

We had fun putting together a gift package for Ray tonight. WACAP is visiting the TRC next week and we're sending him three t-shirts and two shorts. Thought it would be nice to get him some Wisconsin-wear (Badger t-shirt, Packers jersey, Packers t-shirt). Then we wrote him a letter and included pictures of Bryan and I wearing our Wisconsin-wear next to his outfit (see above).

I-800A Approval

We just got our I-800A approval notice in the mail today! WOW! I was told to expect this would take 90 days to be approved. That means it took less than 30 days from the day the USCIS received it officially!!! Yipee! Things are moving along just wonderfully. Now we just need to hope they continue to progress at this fast rate and that the TRC and the DSDW will approve our match and approve the adoption of Ray in the earliest possible time frame (4 months is the early estimate).

Dossier Off To Thailand

WACAP sent our dossier off to Thailand this afternoon after receiving it from the month-long US verification journey through Washington state and the Thai Embassy in DC. We're SO excited!!! One step closer to the 20-hour flight to finally meeting our son most likely this year in Bangkok!
